Beyer Speed Figure calculators at Gulfstream Park gave Rated by Merit a whopping 92 rating, the highest rating by a 2-year-old thus far this year (2024).

Rated by Merit won a maiden race by nearly 10 lengths last Saturday July 13, 2024, at Gulfstream Park, race 2.

As of right now, I'll just take this sky-high speed figure with a grain of salt as it is somewhat of an unknown pedigree profile.

It will be interesting to see what his next race will be but I suspect a stake race for 2yo colts (the Proud Man Stakes [$95,000] for 2yo colts at 6F on dirt) at Gulfstream Park on August 10 is the likely next race for this colt.

After that, the Florida Sire Stakes, also known as the Dr. Fager Stakes ($100,000) for 2yo colts at 6F on dirt, also at Gulfstream Park on September 10, 2024.
